11 Chris Thrall: Men, Addiction and Recovery

Chris has travelled to eighty countries across seven continents, run 999 miles the length of Britain unsupported, completed a quadruple ironman triathlon, is a qualified pilot, skydiver, bestselling author, Antarctic explorer and polar scuba diver (I’m feeling cold already)

He’s also English Veteran of the Year and is bold enough (or bonkers) to have driven volunteer journalists to India and back in an old and unroadworthy school bus, to highlight global inequality and poverty!

He was awarded the Second level commendation of the Finnish nation on the grounds of human generosity for his ability to inspire others.

Key points from this episode:

  • How and why he joined the forces

  • A battle with addiction

  • A rather scary adventure in the desert.

  • A surprising view on enlightenment

  • His views on "toxic mascilinity"

  • A message of encourgement
